Lots Happening!

Many of these pictures are from the month of October and November.  Jackson enjoying his lunch at Nanny Toot's house on her covered deck.  We took Jackson to trade days at Tannehill and he had a great time.  We also had lots of fun people watching.  As my uncle described it, "It is a true experience in Americana."  Jackson got to spend a great deal of time with his cousins, Sutton and Piper.  Jackson was given two frogs by my friend from work, "Nan" and he was interested in showing them his train.  Jackson experienced his first "moving" trip.  We moved back "home" in November and I could not resist taking his picture in the loaded up car!  He is also enjoying his new bedroom and the 2 acres he gets to run and play on.  We celebrated Thanksgiving twice...at each grandparent's house.  He was intrigued by my grandparents tree and the ability to turn the lights on and off with his foot.  At my other grandparents, he was introduced to his mom's wooden swing that she had when she was little.  He loves to swing!!!

Fall Photo Session - 2012

We had our fall photo session with our friend Erin earlier in November.  We went to Avondale Park in downtown Birmingham.  Jackson had a blast being outside and able to play with the ducks.  He was hilarious!!!  He wanted to touch the ducks so bad no matter how close he got to the water.

Tool Time and Play-Doh

Last night Jackson and I enjoyed pizza for dinner.  He was chowing down on his pizza and he even reached over and took some of my crust (which is my least favorite part if I don't have any dipping sauce).  Getting him to actually eat lunch or dinner can be a challenge so I get excited about every meal he actually eats.  He sported around the house in his John Deere tool belt with several tools attached.  I just can't get him to wear the hat that goes with it.  He hilarious trying to get the tools in and out of the belt.  Then we played with Play-Doh.  We started out with yellow but we decided we liked the blue better so we stuck with it.  I grabbed the toy trucks from his 2 year birthday cake decorations and he had the best time filling them up with Play-Doh and driving through the Play-Doh.  We use a shape cutter and made apples and then I built a dog.  He pointed to the dog's tail and said, "Poo Poo".  Hilarious!  All throughout this process we did our "roll call" routine.  He asked about MiMi, MeeMaw, PawPaw, Nana, David, Toot Toot, J. D., Zac, Nana, and DaDoh.

September Fun

We have had one of the busiest months ever!!  Great things will soon be happening and I can tell about everything all at once.  Until then, only those around us will know the details. But for now, I have lots of photos to share.  We have traveled to South Alabama on very quick trips with a mission in mind every time.  While there we have visited with family and Jackson has gotten to play with his cousins, Piper and Sutton.  Back at home, Jackson has been enjoying his days at mother's day out and Nanny Toot Toot's house helping David and playing with the dogs.  Jackson got new bedding for his bedroom and loves all the trucks!!  He is saying so much these days...dog, where's Queenie?, MeeMee, MeeMaw, PawPaw, Nana, Toot Toot, where's David?, stay, light on, light off, hot, cold, thunder, dark, pee pee, poo poo, come on, shoe, big truck, J.D., and d for dog.  I am sure there are others.  Stay and dark are the funniest ones to me.  He loves to be outside doing anything.  He is wearing size 3T/4T and extra wide tennis shoes.  He has to have a shirt and shorts on at all times.  He is a great helper around the house!!!  He is really growing up too fast.

Packing and Moving

We went over several days in August to help granny and granddaddy pack to move.  I gave Jackson an opportunity to play "the family organ" before it moved on its new home at a church in West Alabama.  The organ had been in our family since the early 70s and all of the grandchildren has played on it at one time or another.

Mee Maw and Paw Paw 65th Anniversary

We celebrated Mee Maw and Paw Paw's 65th wedding anniversary on the weekend of August 4.  We had a great time surprising them all weekend with a lunch at David's, the arrival of Aunt Rudell, Uncle Fred, and Henry.  A surprise cake from a bakery at Mobile.  We really enjoyed getting to visit with everyone.
